The Suburbs
You walk through the stretching, unlit roads and pass by countless houses. Some of these houses gain enough of your attention to bring you inside; all, strangely enough, lack any furniture. A few cars sit abandoned along the street, and despite your efforts, none are able to be unlocked.
A few of the cars and homes you see look dilapidated. You choose to avoid these decrepit, dilapidated structures lining the ends of the streets, a feeling of dread constantly exuding from them. You find small restaurants, but much like the houses, there's no furniture to be found inside them.
As you constantly wander the streets, you begin to take a distinct liking to them. This place feels like home, but from all you've seen, it's just you, no other human in sight. You eventually come to terms that you can't stay here forever.
You begin to traverse the endless, empty streets once again. Dead trees stand meek and resigned along the roads. Eventually, you come upon a large building, one larger than any you've seen previously in your endless travels. The large, out-of-place building appears to resemble a humble hotel.
