THIS MAN is the informal name given to an unidentifiable man who frequently manifests inside of peoples dreams. Since the first documented account of THIS MAN in January, 2006, over 8,000 people have claimed to see THIS MAN in their dreams.

Posters depicting the original sketch drawn of THIS MAN along with the title of "EVER DREAMED THIS MAN?" have been found in several major cities; such as: Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, and Tehran These posters are translated into their countries native language, and feature a URL to, along with the following quote,

"Every night, all over the world, hundreds of people see this face in their dreams. If THIS MAN appears in your dreams too, or if you have any information that can help us identify him, please contact us."

The appearance of THIS MAN can be described as a middle-aged man showing signs of severe balding, extremely thick/bushy eyebrows, wide & sunken eyes, a short snub nose, extremely wide lips with a noticeably thin top lip, rounded outward facing ears & a strong chin.

It's noted that ALL accounts simply refer to him as "THIS MAN." At the moment there is no ascertained relation or common trait among the people that have dreamed of seeing THIS MAN. Moreover, no living man has ever been recognized as resembling the man of the portrait by the people who have seen THIS MAN in their dreams.

Over the past 17 years since the first documented account of THIS MAN, many summaries have been collected detailing various accounts of THIS MAN inside of peoples dreams, these are some of those accounts. Note the varying & seemingly pattern-less behaviours of THIS MAN and the locations he manifests in.

“I have had this recurrent dream for some years now. A tall, dark man shows me a picture and asks me if I can recognise my father in it. The man in the picture is THIS MAN I have never seen before, he looks nothing like my dad, nevertheless I inexplicably answer that I do recognize my father.

At this point I usually wake up feeling very peaceful. Other times the dream continues, I am standing before my father’s grave, I place some flowers on the ground and I realise the photograph on the tombstone is missing.”

Several theories have been developed to explain the mysteriously recurring presence of THIS MAN in the dreams of different people who are not related in any way. The following theories are the ones that elicit the greatest interest among the dreamers themselves.

According to Jung’s psychoanalytic theory, THIS MAN is an archetypal image belonging to the collective unconscious. Surfacing in times of hardship (emotional development, dramatic changes in our lives, stressful circumstances etc.) in particularly sensitive subjects.
